WHAT IS THE RELATIONAL PATH INSTITUTE?

The Relational Path Institute (RPI) is a training and personal development institute specializing in the cross-cultural application of Relational Mindfulness. RPI focuses on the training of therapists, coaches and corporate consultants around the world. All therapy and practice at RPI is based on Humanistic and Existential Psychology and rooted in the application of Relational Mindfulness.

WHAT IS RELATIONAL MINDFULNESS?

Relational Mindfulness is the practice of relational skills based on an individual’s conscious awareness, leading to the development of meaningful interpersonal connection. Relational Mindfulness brings awareness to the automatic interpretations we make about others and their behaviors. It also brings awareness to our reactive behavior that often leads us to disconnection. Relational Mindfulness uses the individual with whom we are in relationship with, as the focus of our non-judgmental, moment by moment attention.

WHAT IS THE HEART APPROACH TO COUPLE THERAPY?

Humanistic Existential Approach to Relationship Therapy (HEART) is the couple therapy application of Relational Mindfulness. It is based on Humanistic and Existential psychology, and the systematic integration of the leading couple therapy and relationship theory approaches, including Imago, Emotionally Focused therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method for Couple Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). HEART therapists assist couples and singles in their journey towards relational growth and healing.

WHAT WILL I LEARN IN THE HEART CERTIFICATE TRAINING?

Through HEART certification, participants gain in-depth knowledge about the psychological, sociological, and neurological factors that constitute and shape the path of both romantic, and committed love. This knowledge will be gained while focusing on cross-cultural differences and distinct factors between collectivist and individualistic

cultures. Participants will also achieve a deeper understanding of the different relational paths for individuals and couples, while gaining refined knowledge of the psycho-socio-neurological intricacies that contribute to relational success and failure, as well as those affecting the individuals’ ability to enter into and maintain committed partnership.

Participants in the clinical track, will learn how to practice counseling and psychotherapy with  (a) couples in distress, and couples  desiring  to  bring  their  relationship  to  co6actualization,  or  an  optimal  level  of  connection and satisfaction, and (b) singles desiring to enter committed  partnership, individuals in relational distress and serial monogamy, and  singles desiring to explore a self-actualized experience of singlehood. Graduates will have in-depth knowledge of  all  leading  theories  of  couples  therapy,  as  well  as  a  grounded  ability  to  practice  the  evidence-based  integration  of  these  theories.

Finally, participants in the HEART certificate training will acquire a profound understanding  of  their  own  relational  path,  as  well  as  develop  mindful awareness.  The  HEART Certificate aims  to  bring  healers  into  an  authentic, empathic and present therapeutic relationship with their clients. In order to embrace such powerful therapeutic stance, practitioners are trained in the use of mindful practices, as well as in the exploration of their own relational  history,  triggers,  dreams,  successes,  and  failures.  This  deep self-exploration  and  self-knowledge  is  gained  through  participants’ attendance  in  two  different  relationship  workshops (RPI Love Awakening Workshop),  and in a Mindfulness 8-week course.

WHO CAN APPLY?
