Guillermo Jose Ybarra

Guillermo Ybarra is a student in the International Psychology Ph.D. program with emphasis in trauma at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Mr. Ybarra received a dual Master's degree in Professional Counseling and Vocational Rehabilitation, with emphasis in vocational evaluation, from New Mexico Highlands University. In addition to having his own private practice in Washington, D.C., he is also a contracted trauma therapist at the Washington, D.C. Rape Crisis Center (DCRCC) and the online therapy provider, Talkspace. Mr. Ybarra’s professional experience has included work with trauma survivors and individuals struggling with addiction. Mr. Ybarra offers a client centered eclectic approach consisting of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and goal oriented tasks and philosophies to help those he works with identify the changes he or she would like to make and then the action plan to achieve their goals.
